New! Beginning October 1st, Enroll Online for Open Enrollment with eBenefits!

At San Francisco Health Service System (SFHSS), we strive to provide the most convenient, secure and easiest methods for enrolling in your benefits. We are excited to introduce eBenefits, our new online platform which takes the Open Enrollment process online.

If the letter that came with your Open Enrollment materials from SFHSS indicated you have been selected to use eBenefts, then you can make your 2019 elections for you and your dependents online. City employees with these departments are able to participate in eBenefits. To access eBenefits, you can use a computer, tablet, mobile evice or your smart phone. You can also visit SFHSS at 1145 Market St 3rd Floor to use a kiosk or use the same kiosks you use for PeopleSoft time entry.

Help Resources
If you have not yet read the step-by-step instructions, it's a great place to start. Many nuances are documented in the steps. If you are still having issues, please read the FAQs / Known Issues documentation. This document will be updated regularly. Lastly, because online enrollment is web based, frequently issues you may encounter when the system is not functioning correctly, or your credentials are not recognized are related to your web browser. Clearing the cache can frequently remedy the issue. When you encounter difficulties, you should first takes these steps.

Issues Logging into the System
If you are unable to log into the SF Employee Portal, please call the Department of Technology Help Desk at (628) 652-5000 between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday. You will be asked to provide your Employee ID Number to validate your identity. If you are a retiree who received a temporary passcode but have not set up your account and your passcode has expired, you will need to contact the San Francisco Health Service System at (415) 554-1750 between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday. Please note that the Help Desk cannot assist with any benefits-related questions.

Issues with eBenefits
If you have been able to log into the system, but are unable to initiate your open enrollment session, are encountering problems with the online enrollment screens, have any benefits related questions, or have been unable to resolve your issue after reviewing the step-by-step instructions and the FAQs, please call the San Francisco Health Service System at (415) 554-1750 between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday. Additionally, you can stop into our offices for in-person assistance.
