Flu season is here again!


Every fall, we know the Flu is coming and need to get prepared. With the current prevention efforts for Covid-19, you may be confused on how best to avoid catching the seasonal Flu and Covid-19. Luckily, the steps to preventing them are very similar.

Tips to prevent the flu and Covid-19:  

  1. Get your flu shot: While there is not a vaccine for Covid-19, you can still get your annual flu vaccination to protect against the flu. You can get your flu shot one of the Be Well November Flu clinics. 

  1. Stay home when you are sick: Avoid going to work, school or stores to protect others from getting sick too.  

  1. Avoid close contact: Maintaining a 6 feet distance from others or wearing a mask will help you prevent both illnesses.  

  1. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth: Germs can invade your body when they come into contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth.  

  1. Clean your hands: Wash your hands often, for at least 20 seconds and make sure your family does the same. Show this video to kids to help them learn how to properly wash their hands.  

  1. Keep healthy habits in your routine: Ensure you get plenty of sleep, are physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of water and eat nutritious food.  

Facing the seasonal Flu in addition to the Covid-19 pandemic may seem overwhelming. However, we can all do our part to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and the seasonal Flu.
