eBenefits for SFUSD Employees

SFUSD Employees - Welcome to eBenefits!

eBenefits is the online Health Benefits Enrollment system, designed to provide you with a fast, convenient and secure enrollment experience.

To get started, review the How to Register an Account instructions and find more getting started resources in the How To sections below.

You can use your computer, tablet, mobile device or smart phone to access eBenefits at any time during Open Enrollment between October 1-30, 2020. You can also access eBenefits using the same kiosks that you use for PeopleSoft time entry.

Please note that Internet Explorer is not supported by eBenefits. Use one of the following Internet browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge. 

Login Instructions

SFUSD employees can follow the steps below to login to eBenefits.

Step 1

Register Your Account by clicking on the "First Time Registration for SFUSD" text.

Step 2

Once Registered, log into the SF Employee Portal.

Step 3

Click on the SF Employee Portal icon.

Step 4

Click on the Open Enrollment Link from the alerts tab on the SF Employee Portal page.

Step 5

Enter your elections and submit your choices by 5:00pm PST on October 30th . If you are adding new dependents, you will need to submit supporting documentation, which can be uploaded in eBenefits.

Dental and FSAs

Dental enrollment and Flexible Spending Account are administered through the SFUSD Benefits Office.

Dental Benefits: You do not need to complete an enrollment form if you wish to keep the same elections. If you are interested in enrolling or making changes to dental benefits, please visit the SFUSD employee intranet at the link below:

Flexible Spending Account: Please note that FSA elections must be re-elected every year. FSA elections must be done online with HealthEquity at or by calling

Help is Available

Our offices are currently closed to the public.

If you have questions about benefits, plans, eligibility, or enrolling online, please call SFHSS at (628) 652-4700. Our telephone hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm, and Thursday from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm.

If you are unable to log into the Employee Portal and have tried the self-service identity verification to set up your account, please contact the City & County of San Francisco’s Department of Technology Help Desk at (628) 652-5000, between the hours of 7:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday. If your Open Enrollment link does not work, please contact SFHSS directly.

You will be asked to provide your DSW Number (this is a unique ID number assigned to you in our benefits system and not your SFUSD Employee ID number) and some additional information to validate your identity.
