Well-Being@Work Grants

Grants provide a funding source for materials to support well-being in the workplace.  These funds can be used for a specific work-location (with the caveat that the items being purchased must be able to benefit the majority of employees at the location).  Examples include blood pressure machines, exercise equipment and more.  

 

 

Apply for a Well-Being Grant

Grant applications require input from Champions, Department Leads, and a representative from your department's finance team.  Applications are accepted once a year, the 2019-20 deadline is August 30, 2019.

 

Step 1

Identify Requests
Champions, the Well-Being Department Lead and other stakeholders meet to discuss needs by work location. If there is no Department Lead for Well-Being, Champions can work directly with members of their management team.

Step 2

Involve Finance Staff
The Department Lead and/or Champion meets with financial staff to discuss the request. This is to confirm whether funding is available, to secure support for funding, or to purchase the request.

Step 3

Complete and Submit the Application

    Key Player Training's

    Stay up to date with well-being resources you can implement at your worksite and meet other Well-Being Champions and Department Leads by attending quarterly trainings hosted by SFHSS Well-Being Team.

    Awards

    Well-Being@Work Awards recognize departments that are taking steps toward making employee well-being a priority in the workplace.  Awards recognize departments that make an exerted effort to strategically impact the well-being of their employees, following guidelines and best practices provided by the SFHSS Well-Being Team. In order to receive an award departments must have a Well-Being@Work Annual Plan in place.
