The Socio-Cultural Context of COVID-19 Vaccines All Staff Conference Call

Please join the Office of Race, Equity and Inclusion (OREI) and Human Resources (HR) Division on Wednesday, May 19 at 11:30 a.m. for a Teams LIVE meeting. We will discuss COVID-19 vaccines, and the social and cultural issues that impact attitudes towards vaccines.

Three panelists, noted below, will join OREI and HR for a conversation about:

  • The historic and modern-day social, cultural and systemic issues that impact attitudes and beliefs about vaccines
  • Information about available COVID-19 vaccines, including safety and side-effect information
  • SFMTA staff information on safety and COVID-19 protocols in the workplace

Guest speakers include:

  • Rafael Gonzalez, Community Programs Manager for Bridge HIV, San Francisco Department of Public Health
  • Dr. Hyman Scott, Medical Director, Clinical Research, Bridge HIV, San Francisco Department of Public Health
  • Dr. Fiona Wilson, Supervising Physician, Department of Human Resources, Workers’ Compensation Division
