Director's Report
The director’s report provides the Health Service Board with updates on current department projects and programs. The report may share healthcare news. The report will announce new staff at SFHSS.

HSS Financial Report as of September 30, 2024
The finance report gives updates on the department budget. The report tracks the monthly spending in the three accounts we manage. The department must have an auditor review how it uses money in the budgets. The report will list any reviews and when they are complete.

Annual Audit Report
This report shows the process by which experts check to see if SFHSS’s financial statements follow specific rules. The goal is to ensure that the information is correct and free of big mistakes.

A pharmacy benefit is part of health insurance that helps pay for medicines you need. This report explains how some pharmacy benefits work now and what might change in the future.

Blue Shield of CA MAPD PPO Transition Plan Update

Black Out Notice November 14, 2024 through June 2025
This notice is about the Life and Disability Benefits Request for Proposal (RFP). This notice tells the Health Service Board about a time when certain rules must be followed. During this time, Board members cannot engage in unauthorized communications or activities related to the Life and Disability Benefits RFP and the SFHSS Annual Rates and Benefits process.

Public Comment Call-In: 415-655-0001 / Access Code: 2660 622 6515
Providing Public Comment:
- Dial into 415-655-0001 and then enter access code 2660 622 6515 then #
- Enter the Webinar Password: 1145 then press #
- Press # again to enter the meeting as an ATTENDEE
- You will hear a beep when you join the meeting as a participant.
- Stop and LISTEN
- Wait for Public Comment to be announced.
- When Public Comment is called, dial * then 3 to be added to the speaker line.
- You will then hear “You have raised your hand to ask a question, please wait to speak until the host calls on you.” Callers will hear silence when waiting for their turn to speak.
- To withdraw your question, press* then 3. – you will hear: “You have lowered your hand.”
- When the system message says “Your line has been unmuted” - THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SPEAK.
- When the President or Commission Secretary states “Welcome Caller,” you are encouraged to state your name clearly. As soon as you speak, you will have 3 minutes to provide your comments.
- Once your 3 minutes have expired, you will be moved out of the speaker line and back as a participant in the meeting (unless you disconnect). You will hear “Your line has been muted.”
- Participants who wish to speak on other public comment periods can stay on the meeting line and listen for the next public comment opportunity.
Best Practices when calling in for Public Comment:
• Call from a quiet location
• Speak slowly and clearly
• Turn down any televisions or radios around you
• Address the Commission as a whole, do not address individual CommissionersWritten Public Comment
Persons unable to attend the meeting may submit written public comments regarding an agenda item. These comments will be made part of the official public record and shall be brought to the attention of the Health Service Board. Written public comment expected to be part of the official record should be submitted to the Board email health.service.board@sfgov.org and received by 5 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Members can also call 628-652-4646 with any questions.
All comments received by the deadline will be forwarded to Board members, and the Board Secretary will note on the record during the specific agenda item that the Board received written public comment on that item and will include that note in the meeting minutes. In the body of your email, indicate the meeting date and the particular agenda item number. If you do not specify an agenda item, your emailed public comment will be read under general comment.
