Supporting Employee Mental Health

Navigating and understanding your mental health benefits and the available resources can be challenging, especially when you are not feeling your best. When employees have the tools to manage their mental health, they feel more supported and engaged at work. Attend this training to learn how organizations can reduce the stigma about getting help and learn tips to create a workplace culture that prioritizes mental health.

Attend Training on May 10, 2023

In this training you will:

  • Learn how you can lead your department in creating a stigma-free work environment.
  • Gain tips to help build a workplace culture that prioritizes mental health.
  • Receive information on SFHSS mental health benefits and resources.

Action Items:

  1. Send department wide email to support mental health awareness month and include resources: CredibleMind and Mental Health Resource flyers
  2. Pull from the toolkits, identify one that resonates and implement at the workplace
  3. Distribute the desk coasters to employees
  4. Submit Spotlights – Due 5/26
  5. Schedule check in meetings with your Coordinator for June and have your Annual Plan ready to be reviewed.

    Bring well-being to your workplace by requesting onsite activities that will engage employees in well-being.

    Submit an application to receive financial assistance in your well-being efforts.

    Key Player Training's

    Stay up to date with well-being resources you can implement at your worksite and meet other Well-Being Champions and Department Leads by attending quarterly training's hosted by SFHSS Well-Being Team.

    Awards

    Well-Being@Work Awards recognize departments that are taking steps toward making employee well-being a priority in the workplace.  Awards recognize departments that make an exerted effort to strategically impact the well-being of their employees, following guidelines and best practices provided by the SFHSS Well-Being Team. In order to receive an award departments must have a Well-Being@Work Annual Plan in place.
