PERMITTED COMMUNICATIONS

 

A Request for Proposal (RFP) is a competitive bid for services. An RFP is a formal process with strict rules about communications.

All conversations about an RFP must be made by email to the SFHSS Contracts Team: michael.visconti@sfgov.org, cc: patrick.chang@sfgov.org, william.kudenov@sfgov.org.

This is called an RFP black-out period. Bidders may be disqualified for failing to obey the RFP black-out.

  • Writing or speaking to other employees about the RFP is not allowed.
  • Writing or speaking to SFHSS managers about the RFP is not allowed.
  • Writing or speaking to the Health Service Board about the RFP is not allowed.
  • Writing or speaking to SFHSS consultants about the RFP is not allowed.
  • Writing or speaking to the RFP panel about the RFP is not allowed.

  • RFI for Virtual Fair Software RFPQ (2021)

    SFHSS has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for software to have virtual events and webinars. The software must be good for hosting meetings with hundreds of participants. An RFI is not binding. An RFI does not result in a contract. An RFI is an opportunity to learn more about software solutions. The vendors that respond may bid on a future Request for Proposal (RFP).

    RFI (Request for Information) for Medicare Health Plans, 2023 Plan Year

    SFHSS issued a formal request for information (RFI) for Medicare plans. An RFI is not binding. An RFI does not result in a contract. An RFI is an opportunity to learn more about Medicare plans and carriers. The carriers that respond may bid on a future Request for Proposal (RFP).

    The purpose of this non-binding RFI will be to allow SFHSS to understand the current market opportunities driven by its strategic goals and objectives as outlined in the August 12, 2021 and September 9, 2021 Health Service Board meetings.
